The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum Store is extending a rare opportunity to own a piece of Texas history. Due to deterioration, an original cedar log from the 1877 T Anchor Ranch headquarters recently had to be removed and replaced. The
piece of the cedar log is mounted on a Texas-shaped plaque along with the T Anchor Ranch story and sold in the Museum Store for $98.99. The T Anchor Ranch buildings are now located on the east lawn of the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum. Instead of simply discarding the log--hand cut and hewn by Walter and Leigh Dyer under the direction of their brother-in-law Charles Goodnight, we are offering museum patrons the unique chance to own a piece of history.
